Because our website is operated using Kajabi, Kajabi may place cookies on your browser automatically. These cookies may support functions such as website operation, login sessions, checkout, security, preferences, analytics, and other website functionality.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link contained in our emails or by contacting:

Unsubscribing from marketing communications does not necessarily stop transactional or service-related communications concerning a purchase, account, course enrollment, refund, or other existing relationship.

Where applicable law requires affirmative consent for electronic marketing, we will obtain consent in the manner required by law.

  1. Meta/Facebook Lead Ads

We may use Meta/Facebook Lead Ads to allow interested individuals to submit their names and email addresses to Parchment & Clay.

If you submit information through a Meta Lead Ad, Meta may collect the information through its lead-generation service and transmit it to Parchment & Clay through an automated integration.

We may use Zapier to transfer lead information from Meta to Kajabi or other services we use to manage our email list.

Information obtained through Meta Lead Ads may be used for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including adding you to our marketing email list where the applicable notice and consent requirements have been satisfied.

Your use of Meta's services is also subject to Meta's own privacy policies and terms.

  1. Advertising

We may use advertising services provided by companies such as Meta and Google/YouTube.

These services may allow us to advertise our courses, generate leads, measure advertising performance, and understand how advertising campaigns perform.

Depending on the advertising service and its configuration, these companies may collect or receive information about interactions with advertisements, websites, or lead forms.

We may change our advertising providers or add additional advertising technologies in the future.

Where applicable law requires consent or provides an opt-out right concerning advertising technologies, we will provide the applicable consent or opt-out mechanism.

  1. How We Share Personal Information

We do not sell our email list or sell individual email addresses as a standalone product.

We may nevertheless disclose personal information to third parties when reasonably necessary to operate our business.

These recipients may include:

  • Kajabi, for website hosting, course delivery, customer accounts, email functions, checkout, and related services;
  • Kajabi Payments and payment-processing providers, including Stripe's payment infrastructure;
  • Zapier, to automate the transfer and processing of information between services, including the transfer of Meta Lead Ad information to Kajabi;

  • Government authorities, courts, law-enforcement agencies, or other parties when required or permitted by law.

These companies may process personal information on our behalf or independently according to their own applicable policies and legal obligations.

  1. Sale and Sharing of Personal Information

Parchment & Clay does not sell its email list or individual email addresses for money.

However, California privacy law distinguishes between "selling" personal information and certain forms of "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Accordingly, our statement that we do not sell our email list does not mean that no personal information may ever be disclosed to an advertising or technology provider.

If our activities constitute a sale or sharing of personal information under applicable California law, we will provide the rights and opt-out mechanisms required by law.

  1. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies.

Some cookies may be placed automatically by Kajabi because they are part of the operation of a Kajabi website. These may support functions including login sessions, checkout, website functionality, security, preferences, and analytics.

We may also use third-party cookies or similar technologies if we activate advertising, analytics, or other integrations.

Because the cookies and technologies used by Kajabi and third-party providers may change, the exact cookies in use may change over time.

Where applicable law requires prior consent for non-essential cookies or similar technologies, we will provide an appropriate consent mechanism.

You may also control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect website functionality.

  1. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  1. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

No method of transmitting or storing information electronically can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

  1. International Processing

Parchment & Clay is located in the United States and does not restrict sales based on geographic location.

If you access our services from outside the United States, your personal information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in the United States or other countries where Parchment & Clay or its service providers operate.

Some of our service providers, including Kajabi, Zapier, Meta, Google, and payment-processing providers, may process personal information internationally.

Where applicable data-protection law requires a lawful mechanism for transferring personal information internationally, Parchment & Clay and/or the applicable service provider will use a legally recognized transfer mechanism, which may include an adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses, or another legally recognized safeguard.
